Bob Cowsill Interview Show The Cowsills were not just that one flash in the pan from 1967-1970. The Newport, RI family band (Bob, Bill, John, Barry, Paul, Susan, and mother Barbara) had four Top 40 pop hits, of which two ("The Rain, The Park and Other Things" and "Hair") reached #2. They were the prototype for the television characters in the popular "The Partridge Family" show that ran from 1970-74. They played the theme song for the early '70s romcom series "Love American Style." And when they began to splinter they made some great power pop music that is surely worthy of another look. Bob Cowsill represents here, while still on the "Happy Together" tour (with '60s stalwarts The Turtles, The Association, Gary Puckett & The Union Gap, Mark Lindsay of the Raiders, and Chuck Negron of Three Dog Night) along with his sister Susan and brother Paul. His is a fascinating story. The Cowsills' music is irresistible and there's plenty of it here.
