This song made me think about some books I've been reading. One, called The New Me and written by Halle Butler, is about a 30-year-old woman working temp jobs and dealing with depression. She has a lot of goals, like going to yoga class or buying organic, but can never transcend her situation. Another, called Loneliness and written by John Cacioppo, suggests that the more mired you are in loneliness, the harder it is to get out of it, and the more likely you'll feel like your mind is, like this song states, "getting heavy with mold." It also encourages readers to think of loneliness like you would hunger - if you're hungry, you should eat, and if you're lonely, you should hang out or talk to someone.
