MMPMC was David Borden, Steve Drews & Linda Fisher. 1970-73 collects the first album by Mother Mallard's Portable Masterpiece Co. and previously unreleased recordings. MMPMC were also one of the very first [possibly the first] performing synthesizer ensembles, working closely with Robert Moog, whose first factory was nearby. This material pre-dates or is contemporary with the first contributions to the genre and had been forgotten until now.
Agnes Martin, from this 37 minute lecture, said, "In the middle of the work of art, an artist often feels that he is failing. And he starts interfering with his inspiration. That is a mistake. The mistake. It is best to push on through. Such works frequently turn out to be the best. To fail is a very ordinary experience for an artist. To fail and fail and still go on, marks his character. Polish rock/ambi group. This their 2nd album. The leader Jan AP Kaczmarek is well-known composer of film music. In 2005 he received the Academy Award (Oscar) for Best Original Score for Finding Neverland, directed by Marc Forster.
