From Sweden. The band initially booked studio time this past spring to record a new LP that they had already written. Then Covid-19 hit, and affected by the strange times, they ended up writing a slate of new tracks which became this release.
Sula Bassana is the pseudonym of Dave Schmidt, a German musician, who also owns Sulatron Records. He has been recording since 1983. He also founded & played in the electronic outfit Twilight Network from 1988-1993
Riechmann began his career in 1967, collaberated & recorded with ex-kraftwerk members in 1972. He Recorded Wunderbar as a solo project, in 1977-78 This track was on that LP. Before the album was released he was stabbed in a random attack in Dusseldorf in August 1978 and died a few days later.
A German psych-prog rock band from Hanover Germany, founded in 1969. The band is named after the futurist race of humans in HG Wells’ The Time Machine (spelled in the book as Eloi). This 2 part track appeared on their album Silent Cries and Mighty Echoes, released in 1979. Eloy is still active with only founding member Frank Bornemann still in the band.
Vive la Void is the solo project of Sanae Yamada, co-founder and keyboard player of Moon Duo. Yamada wrote and recorded this self-titled debut album over roughly a two-year period, during periods of downtime in Moon Duo's touring and recording schedule. Moon Duo is based in Portland, Oregon.
