The songwriter, Don EVERLY, of The EVERLY BROTHERS, died August 21st at age 84 // "Wishing" was originally written by Holly for the Everly Brothers; he recorded this & "Love's Made A Fool Of You", both intended as demos for the brothers to record. HOWEVER, the Everly Brothers were not allowed to record them, due to a stipulation in their contract with Acuff-Rose Music that said that they could not record any new material that was not an Acuff-Rose copyright. This clause eventually led to a falling-out between the brothers & Wesley Rose.
