* The Sonics' recording was probably based on Paul Revere And The Raiders version, which was released in March of 1964, as the B-side of their second CBS single, ' Louie - Go Home'. Though they had no national hits yet, Paul Revere And The Raiders were very popular live in the Pacific Northwest.
