A few months after Zevon's death, his son, Jordan, drove out to one of his father's storage spaces in the San Fernando Valley to begin the process of sorting through old recordings. He discovered over one hundred unreleased outtakes and demos in a piano-sized touring case. / * - which was self-titled; his very first album "Wanted Dead or Alive" from 1970 is quite obscure and many of his fans are not even aware of it.

The Ducks (formerly known as the Jeff Blackburn Band) were a short-lived American hard rock supergroup formed in the summer of 1977 by singer-songwriter Jeff Blackburn. The band included Bob Mosley (an original member of Moby Grape), Neil Young, and Johnny Craviotto. The band played a series of impromptu bar gigs around the Santa Cruz area in 1977. General Johnson was born in May of 1943. He was in The Showmen (best-known recording was 'It will Stand', 1961, who were popular on the "Beach Music" scene in the Carolinas, before he formed The Chairmen of the Board in 1967. Johnson also wrote and produced (with Greg Perry) for other Invictus/ Hot Wax acts, notably Honey Cone; he also wrote 'Patches' for Clarence Carter. The Chairmen of the Board's biggest hit was their first, the H-D-H team's 'Give Me Just a Little More Time' .
