PANXING is the moniker of Copenhagen-based artist Pernille Zidore Nygaard. The album title deals with this blurring or dissolving of time pivotal for the music’s process of becoming. The piano is a recurring element for Panxing and has been the starting point for her composing... sometimes played, sometimes programmed and always the closest companion to the journeys of the voice.

"The Entourage Music and Theater Ensemble was an ambient music group. The group was active from 1970 to 1983 and performed in theaters in combination with dance ensembles. The primary members were founder and director Joe Clark on saxophones and keyboards; Rusti Clark (no relation) on viola and guitar; Michael S. Smith on drums and percussion; and Wall Matthews on guitars, keyboards, and percussion. Entourage formed in Baltimore, Maryland in the early-1970s, relocated to Millbrook, New York, then moved to New London, Connecticut in the mid-1970s and finally re-settled in the Baltimore, Maryland area. "Jane Lancaster (born 1963) was a British singer, who teamed up with at that time her boyfriend, Edward Burton to compose the song, It's A Fine Day. The track gained interest from the Red Cherry label, who released it as a single. An album followed on, with credits going to Jane And Burton. After that she made some records before later going into acting, including appearances on Coronation Street, before finally becoming a fitness instructor. John Peel picked up her song Its a Fine day, and it eventually became source for many other artists sampling. "

Shostakovich composed this quartet in six weeks during the summer of 1938. It carries no dedication. Shostakovich said that in this quartet he had _visualized childhood scenes, somewhat naïve and bright moods associated with spring. This movement is set in the remote key of C_ minor. It begins with a rapid theme in 3 4 time, before moving on to the trio in F_ major which is slightly more relaxed in tempo. "Although he died some thirty years ago, Edden Hammons has not been forgotten. He is considered by many to have been one of the finest traditional West Virginia fiddlers of all time, and tales of his musical exploits and eccentric lifestyle flourish among the inhabitants of mountainous east central West Virginian, where he lived from about 1874 to 1955. 'Queen of the Earth and Child of the Skies' is one of the few slower, crosstuned and slightly 'crooked' pieces of the 51 that Hammons recorded for Chappell, over three recording sessions. Alan Jabbour (in his 1984 notes to the Edden Hammons Collection, vol. 1) identifies the melody as a piece called _The Blackbird,_ one of the most famous and enduring airs in the British Isles. Several versions were collected in south-western Pennsylvania, but with the generally agreed upon function was that the tune was a _dead march,_ i.e. one to be played at funerals.
