Shemi is a Montreal based artist. He's joined by the Molinari String Quartet. Channeling his background in classical music, SUUNS’ Ben Shemie combines string fractals, manipulated vocals, and synth-powered chaos to bridge the universes of past, present, and future. Over the course of ten tracks, Shemie chronicles a wandering soul tangled in its own dark orbit, searching for meaning in a world of stardust and astral mirages. -BANDCAMP

"The song won the 1964 Academy Award for Best Original Song. The song was inspired by one of the drawings of a chimney sweep created by Mary Poppins' screenwriter, Don DaGradi. When asked about the drawing by the Sherman Brothers, DaGradi explained the ancient British folklore attributed to _sweeps_ and how shaking hands with one or touching their sleeve could bring a person good luck. In their 1961 treatment, the Sherman Brothers had already amalgamated many of the P.L. Travers characters in the creation of _Bert_. His theme music became _Chim Chim Cher-ee - wiki"
Turned into a daytime Radio 1 staple after evening plays from – inevitably – John Peel, it later became the sampled source material for a deluge of 1990s dance hits: including the Pete Waterman-backed Opus III, who took it into the Top 5, and Kylie Minogue, whose 1994 No 2 hit ‘Confide In Me‘ incorporated sizeable chunks of the melody. Edward would later claim the only section of the song not to have been sampled is the concluding line: “We will have salad”.

In the mid-sixties Harry Stoneham was the resident organist of a pub in Clapham, named The Plough. He worked with a drummer (unsurprisingly, Harry provided bass with his feet) called Johnny Eiden, and they were a duo under the name of _Two Fellas to Follow_. Harry was also engaged as demonstrator for Lowrey Organs. His death around Christmas time in 2018 was kept quiet by his wife as she did not want the news to spoil Christmas for others. - IMBD"
