Three gals from Detroit. “Shadow Show is an uncompromising power trio that combines elements of 60’s garage-psychedelia into a 21st century modern pop-art incarnation.”
“Psychedelic Anxiety, as a mood, goes something like this: overwhelming, existential, vertigoic. It arises when we can no longer hide from ourselves, when we’ve ignored too many signals, when we stare into the void. This metaphysical unease also serves as the title for Brooklyn-based musician Frances Chang’s second album, and as a feeling it’s present throughout, charged by all things occultish.” (Is “vertigoic” a real word? I think not!)
Sonic Boom is the solo project of Peter Kember, whose other projects include Spacemen 3, SPECTRUM and EXPERIMENTAL AUDIO RESEARCH. Sonic also produces, mixes and masters recordings from his New Atlantis Studio in Rugby, England. He has a wild website.
I prefer the album version to this video, but it's surely worth watching him try to smoke while he sings. Also the way he looks at the camera when he sings about you. If only the video was in color.
